Uses

The Caulk Once by Everbuild is the ultimate, unrivalled caulk that delivers a long-lasting, robust filler achieved through its superior, high-quality, advanced polymer composite. Everbuild utilised its high-performance properties, enabling all types of paints or wallpaper to be applied over the filler without concerns of weak adhesion. Applications this product is typically applied in include;

  • Sealing and filling gaps and cracks before decorating
  • Use around skirting boards, windows and door frames, ceiling cornices, and fixtures adjoining walls
  • Suitable to be used to fill damaged plaster

Preparation

All surfaces must be prepared before commencing the application. Start by removing all loose or flaking debris on the surface, including old sealant or mastic joints. Highly porous surfaces such as new plaster should be primed first. You can apply this product to a slightly damp surface.

Application

  1. Cut the tip of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threaded screw.
  2. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be filled.
  3. Screw the nozzle onto the cartridge and place it into a standard applicator sealant tool/gun.
  4. Point the tip of the nozzle to the area and apply a firm, consistent pressure, ensuring you fill every crack and crevice in the hole.
  5. Smooth down within 20 minutes of application using either a wetted spatula, wetted piece of wood or wetted finger. Take care not to saturate the surface with water, as it can interfere with the curing process.
  6. Any excess sealant or spillages that may occur can be easily cleaned using a sponge and warm water.

Limitations and Notes

  • Do not use this product in conjunction with asphalt or bitumen.
  • Do not attempt to abrade when cured.
  • This product can only be overpainted once the surface skin has formed.
  • Note that this product is flexible, and certain paints, such as vinyl mats, aren't as flexible and may crack and split over time.
  • This product should not be applied in areas subject to constant water immersion.
