Uses

The Black Jack 905 All-Weather Roof Coating by Everbuild is a high-quality, full-bodied, solvent-based, black, bituminous compound that offers the roof the ultimate protection, preventing unwanted leaks which can subsequently cause structural damage. It provides its waterproofing protection almost immediately upon application, allowing application even if rain is imminent. Application this product is typically applied include;

  • Asphalt roofs
  • Built-up felt roofs
  • Concrete Roof decks
  • Asbestos-Cement Sheeting
  • Metal Sheeting (Iron, Steel, Zinc, Lead)
  • Slate
  • Tiles

Preparation

The surface you're repairing must be stable, sound and free from contaminants that can hinder the product's performance; this includes organic growth, loose debris, dirt, dust, grease, etc. Any damaged area that is beyond remedial work must be replaced; no roofing coat product can repair an existing roof that isn't structurally sound or stable.

Application

The coverage of this product is dependent on the substrates it's applied on. Different roofs require different coats and thicknesses of the 905 Black Jack, so you should thoroughly read the technical data sheet to ensure you have a complete understanding.

  1. Dip the Brush into the 905 Black Jack
  2. Apply to the surface, ensuring thorough, even coverage.

Limitations and Notes

  • Do not apply this product to damp or wet surfaces.
  • This product should not be used in areas where contact with solvents is likely.
  • Do not use in silage pits.
  • Avoid inhaling the vapours when in confined spaces.
  • This product may bleed through any paints applied over it; contact the paint manufacturer to understand what primer must be applied to the 905 to allow compatibility with overpainting.
