Uses

The Firefoam B2 Gun Grade by Everbuild is a high-quality, high-performance expanding foam delivering excellent gap-filling properties alongside a fire-rated foam that slows the movement of smoke and flames. Other unique features of this product include its ability to be sawn, cut or plastered after only one hour of application. Applications this product is typically applied in include;

  • Fill gaps to a fire rating in areas including pipe entries, window and door frames, and electrical wire chasing before plastering.
  • Filling deep gaps before applying sealant or plaster
  • Filling irregular gaps in brick, stone, concrete or plaster
  • Fixing window and door frames, timber structures, window sills and thresholds
  • Insulating areas behind soffits, barge boards and cladding to exterior walls.

Preparation

Ensure that all surfaces before application are clean and free from impurities that can hinder the adhesion, including dirt, dust, grease, oil, etc. You should slightly moisten the surface after cleaning it as this aids the curing process of the expanding foam.

Application

  • Shake the can thoroughly before starting the application (20 Times)
  • Fix the can onto a suitable foam applicator tool/gun, screwing it on so it's tight but take care not to over-tighten.
  • Apply to the area with the can facing upside down, partially filling the cavity, allowing the expanding foam to complete the rest.
  • Any spillages should be cleaned immediately using Everbuild Foam Cleaner, including all tools used.

Limitations and Notes

  • Do not over-pressurize the container.
  • This product should only be applied above 5°C.
  • Any spill should be cleaned immediately using Everbuild Foam Cleaner.
  • Please note that after use, all tools should be cleaned; otherwise, your tool may enable foam to cure internally and clog it. Use the Everbuild Foam Cleaner.
  • Please note that this product must be used with a PU Foam Applicator Tool.
