Uses

The Forever Range by Everbuild is a high-quality mould shield product that can achieve up to 10 years of life without any signs of organic growth, including mould, mildew, or bacteria. It's perfect for application areas that suffer from high humidity levels, achieved by its ability to resist water and organic growth. Overall, it's a highly flexible bond that won't suffer from deteriorating for decades to come. Application this product is typically applied in include;

  • Sealing baths, showers, wetrooms, sanitary ware, kitchens, ceramic tiles and all application areas of high humidity or areas that demand hygiene protection
  • Sealing around window and door frames internally, which are subject to high levels of condensation

Preparation

Before commencing the application, preparing the substrates is vital to ensure you achieve optimal results. Clean the surface by removing contaminants that can interfere with the adhesion, including dirt, oil, grease, dust, etc. Deep gaps should have an expanding foam applied to prevent wasting the sealant. If you're using this product for plastic or acrylic baths, fill it half full with water during the sealing and curing process; this will allow it to accommodate being full and empty.

Application

  1. Start by cutting the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threaded screw.
  2. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be filled.
  3. Point the tip of the nozzle to one end of the gap and apply one singular bead along the whole surface. (Note: you can use masking tape to help prevent you from making a mess)
  4. After applying the sealant, tool it down within 15 minutes before the skin starts to form.

Limitations and Notes

  • This product is not suitable for application on surfaces that bleed oils or plasticisers
  • Do not apply this on substrates or areas that are bitumen/pitched-based
