Uses

The Lead Mate Patination Oil by Everbuild is perfect for lead workers or D.I.Yers installing lead themself. Everbuild formulated this product to deliver exceptional protection and extend the lead life, ensuring a visually pleasing look. It combats carbonate staining and aids the natural patine of the lead so it can be formed.

Preparation

  1. You must always wear gloves when applying this product and ensure you're in a well-ventilated area. Surfaces must be totally dry before application.
  2. Application
  3. Using a soft, absorbent cloth, apply the oil evenly, working horizontally, starting at the top and maintaining a wet edge at all times.
  4. You should not apply this product in a circular motion; this will leave an impression on the lead.
  5. Only apply one coat to the surface before clipping the underside of the lead; apply the patination oil approximately 50mm from the edge.
  6. Apply to all areas, including trims, clips and coats between laps.
