Uses

The Stay Fresh by Soudal is the go-to sealant for areas of high humidity, including toilets, washrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and anywhere moisture can build up. Soudal forged this product with a unique composite containing an elastic, neutral, silicone-based material that provides fantastic adhesion and flexibility. This product is commonly used in sanitary rooms, top sealing in glazing, cold store rooms, container constructions, and air conditioning systems.

Preparation

Before commencing the application, ensure the area is free from contaminants that can hinder the adhesion, including dirt, dust, grease, oil, organic growth, loose debris, etc. If the surface is porous, a primer can be applied to enhance the adhesion; non-porous surfaces can be sprayed with a surface activator.

Application

  1. Cut the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threaded screw.
  2. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be filled.
  3. Place the cartridge into a suitable applicator tool.
  4. Point the tip of the nozzle to the gap and apply one long singular bead across the gap.
  5. After applying the material, tool it down to a smooth, professional finish.

Limitation and Notes

  • This product is not suitable for contact substrates such as natural stone, polycarbonate, bitumen, tar or surfaces that release plasticisers.
  • This product is not suitable for bonding aquariums.
  • This product should be applied to areas subject to constant water immersion.
