Uses

The All Weather Roofing Compound by Bond It is an excellent, general-purpose, high-performance, waterproofing compound that protects your roof from the environment. Its excellent formula allows it to resist water, drying into a tough, black coating. Its versatility is unmatched with it adhering to surfaces including;

  • Asphalt
  • Roofing Felt
  • Corrugated Iron
  • Fibre/Cement Slates
  • Lead
  • Copper
  • Zinc

Preparation

Before commencing the application, you should ensure the surface is free from contaminants that can hinder the adhesion. Remove any dirt, dust, grease, oil, rust, and organic growth using a wire brush, fungicide, or rust inhibitor.

Application

  1. Stir the All Weather Roofing Compound thoroughly before using
  2. Apply to the surface via broom or brush
  3. Apply each coat at right angles to the previous one
  4. It should be applied to the surface at a maximum rate of 0.75 litres per m²
  5. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly before applying another; drying times can take up to 24 hours.

Limitation and Notes

  • This product should not be used in areas subsequent to solvent contact
  • Do not apply this product in potable drinking water tanks
  • Ensure you allow sufficient drying time between coats.
  • Bitumen naturally bleeds through paints, so a primer should be applied over the bitumen before painting.
