Roofing Sheets
When you’re looking for a roofing solution for a small independent or leaning structure, roof sheets are a suitable option. They’re often relatively simple to install while being significantly more resilient than something like roofing felt.
At ERoofing, we sell the two main kinds of roofing sheets – polycarbonate glazing and corrugated sheeting. Both kinds are developed by the sheeting experts at Clear Amber Group, famous for brands like Axiome and Corrapol.
Polycarbonate Sheets
Polycarbonate Sheets essentially act as replacements for glass windows. They are even installed using glazing bars like windows. They are made of polycarbonate, which is incredibly resistant to physical impacts, lightweight, UV resistant and waterproof.
Polycarbonate sheets are composed of multiple “walls” – thin layers of polycarbonate separated by empty “chambers”. These massively improve the insulation provided by polycarbonate sheets. Polycarbonate sheets are available in a variety of thicknesses with different applications, such as 4, 6, and 10mm sheets with two walls, 16mm with three, 25mm with five walls, and finally 35mm sheets with seven.
Polycarbonate sheets are ideal for structures that require a lot of insulation while still allowing access to sunlight like greenhouses, conservatories, and orangeries.
Clear Amber’s Axiome brand of Polycarbonate Sheets are supported by its ALUKAP glazing solution, which is designed to perfectly secure polycarbonate sheets in place.
Corrugated Sheets
Corrugated Sheets resemble many other pitched roofing solutions. They are often made of a variety of materials. For instance, Corrapol Stormroof is made of a nigh unbreakable plastic, while Corrapol GRP is made of fibreglass. Corrapol PVC is made of polyvinyl chloride, while Corrapol BT is made of bitumen. Each different material has its own strengths and weaknesses.
All high profile Corrapol sheets are compatible with Clear Amber’s ancillary products. These include for instance Corrapol Rock n’ Lock Flashing, which is a simple-to-install flashing solution for Corrapol. There is also Corrapol Super Ridge, an aluminium ridging solution for Corrapol.
Corrugated sheets are particularly useful for those who want to work on early DIY projects, because of their simple installation and the amount of support products they have. This is especially true of Corrapol PVC DIY Grade sheets, which are specifically intended for those new to roofing.
