Uses
The PRO 30D by Soudal is a fantastic PVA-based adhesive that delivers a vigorous, durable bond that's entirely transparent after drying. It's forged with fantastic resistance, entirely resisting water and high temperatures, making it perfect for objects and areas that suffer from high humidity. The strength of this adhesive is unrivalled, with it typically being applied in interior areas subject to short-term exposure to water. Alongside that, it's ideal for rooms with high humidity, exterior areas not subject to weathering, manufacturing doors and windows and general wooden substrate bonding.
Preparation
Before commencing the application, ensure the surface is free from contaminants that can interfere with the bonding process. This includes dirt, dust, grease, oil, organic growth, flaking material and loose debris. Slightly abrading non-porous surfaces enhance the adhesive performance.
Application
- Apply the adhesive via brush, trowel or machine to one of the surfaces to be bonded.
- Bring both surfaces together and clamp securely for 1 to 2 hours, this can vary depending on different substrates of timber.
Limitations and Notes
- It's important to note that this product can cause discolouration on certain woods, some of which include cherry and beech.
- Do not dilute the adhesive; it is ready to use.
