Bostik Cementone Integral Waterproofer - 2.5L

Uses

The Cementone Integral Waterproofer by Bostik delivers excellent aid when building mortar/cement, offering fantastic waterproofing properties alongside defending against efflorescence and lime bloom. This product is chloride-free, with no corrosive effect on reinforcement; however, it's unsuitable for structural concrete application. With its ability to control the water movement within the mortar/cement, there is a reduction in crazing in rich mixtures.

Preparation

You should refer to the local standards of the area or in the U.K., follow appropriate British Standard Codes of Practice and ensure work is carried out in accordance with BSEN1996 Part 1 & 2 and PD6697:2010.

When rendering to new brickwork, leave with raked mortar joints to form a key. Old brickwork should have old concrete or render raked out, removing old plaster or decoration, ensuring the backing is sound and free from laitance, dust, grease, oil and dampness.

Porous surfaces must be stabilised by applying a coat of bonding primer, mixing it into the surface, and allowing it to harden, which can take 16-72 hours.

Ensure you shake this product well before use.

Application

This product is suitable for various applications, including walls, floors/bases, external rendering, roughcast and replastering after insertion of D.P.C. Please read the Technical Data Sheet to understand how to apply this product for these various applications properly.
