- Metal sheeting, including steel, zinc, lead and iron
Preparation
Cromars, All Weather Roof Compound, like all roofing coats, can only provide effective repairs to structurally sound and stable existing roofs. Start by examining your roof for any damages, including cracked, broken, slipped, or missing tiles, slates, sheets, or other covering forms, which must be replaced, refixed, and cracked in asphalt or felt filled.
After checking the roof's condition, it's important to ensure that the All Weather Roof Compound can adhere correctly to the surface. To ensure this, you must remove all contaminants that can interfere with the product, including dirt, dust, grease, oil, loose debris and organic growth. Use a stiff brush to remove impurities and a fungicide to eliminate any organic growth present.
Application
- Stir the product thoroughly before use
- Use a brush and apply the All Weather Roof Compound to the roof's surface.
- During this, you can use it in conjunction with rot-proof hessian reinforcement or bituminised glass fibre scrim.
- You should apply two to three coats altogether; if optionally, you can seal the last layer with solar reflective paint, which helps prolong the roof's life span.
