The Cromar Cold Gritting Solution - Black 25 Litres is a high-quality adhesive crafted by the Cromar technical team to bond various chipping to a flat or low-pitched roof surface. Alongside its high-performance adhesive, it also cures into a solar reflective layer, which is weatherproofing and damage-resistant. Overall, this product provides fantastic adhesive and robust protection, ensuring long-lasting installation of your chippings. The chippings that are suitable for this adhesive include;

Preparation

Before commencing the application, it's of the utmost importance to achieve optimal results by cleaning the surface, ensuring it's free from contaminants that interfere with the adhesion. This includes impurities such as dirt, dust, grease, oil, organic growth, etc. The surface ideally should be dry before starting the application; however, you can apply this product to a damp surface, not wet.

Application

1. Using either a stiff brush, squeegee or mop, apply the adhesive to the surface at a rate of 20m²
2. Avoid ponding or pooling during this, and ensure you don't apply it too thinly.
3. Ensure you don't over-apply the chippings; otherwise, they won't touch the gritting adhesive and fall off.
