Uses
The Everflex Contract AC50 by Everbuild is a unique acoustic sealant that delivers excellent sound-reducing properties between rooms. Everbuild crafted this product to form acoustic barriers by sealing gaps between plasterboards floors, walls and ceilings, and general dry lining applicaitons. Other applications this product has been used for include as an adhesive for bonding plasterboards together, wood, metal studding and direct-to-blockwork. Preparation
Before commencing the application, all surfaces must be prepared correctly to achieve optimal results. Start by removing all surface contaminants, including dirt, dust, oil, grease, debris, etc. Any old sealant or mastic joints should be removed, and if the surface is highly porous, such as new plaster, you should prime it before applying the AC50 to it. Lastly, you can apply this to damp surfaces that cannot be wet.
