Uses
The 103 Trowel Mastic by Everbuild provides excellent water-tight sealing around wooden and metal door frames, with this unique formula also suitable for pointing brickwork. Everbuild's technical team formulated this product to allow paint to be applied over, enabling you to redecorate it and hide it.
Preparation
Before commencing the application, you should ensure the surface is free of contaminants such as dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc. After cleaning the surface, you must allow it to dry.
Application
- Using a thin, pointed trowel or putty knife, work the mastic well into the joint, ensuring no empty gaps.
- Smooth the mastic using a triangular fillet.
- If you're filling joints around frames, allow a minimum width of 10mm and a depth of at least 6mm.
Limitations
- This product is not compatible with plastic frames heat absorbing glass.
