Uses

The Evercryl Emergency Roof Repair by Everbuild is the ultimate alternative method for completing remedial work across the roof's space. This product is forged with the same properties as the infamous Evercryl, but instead of applying it through a brush, it's done by a cartridge. This doesn't affect the performance of the product; it still delivers excellent gap filling, repairing splits, cracks and bridges. Regardless of the ambient condition in the air and surface, this product can still be applied, proving how remarkable it is. Surfaces this product is excellent at repairing includes;

  • Concrete
  • Fibre/cement
  • Roofing felt
  • Mastic Asphalt
  • Bituminous roof coatings
  • Rigid PVCu corrugated iron
  • Metal
  • Slate
  • Brickwork
  • Tiles
  • Lead
  • Copper
  • Zinc
  • Plastic Gutters
  • Metal Gutters

Preparation

Before starting the application, prepare the surface to ensure you achieve optimal results. Start by clearing any contaminants present including dirt, dust, grease, organic growth, debris, etc. To achieve this, a stiff brush work well alongside a fungicide to remove the any organic growth. Any rust on the surface must be treated using a rust inhibitive primer. Alongside that, bituminous, porous and friable surfaces, will require a priming as well. Any damages to the roof, including it's structural integrity must be fixed so it's sound, stable and suitable for repairing. This includes any damaged tiles, slates, sheets or other form of covering, if it's gone beyond repair, replace it.

Application

Wear appropriate protective clothing, this includes gloves, face and eye covering.

  1. Cut the top of the cartridge taking care not to damage the threaded screw
  2. Screw the special nozzle onto the cartridge and place it into a suitable applicator tool
  3. Apply directly to the damaged surface, taking care to carefully fill the damaged area and ensure it's repaired correctly
  4. If needed, you may apply a second application 2-3 days after the initial applicaiton.

Limitations and Notes

  • This product should not be applied in areas where subsequent solvent or oil contact is likely.
  • Avoid inhaling any of the vapours
  • Do not apply to Styrofoam or PVC foil
