The Fence Life Brush by Ronseal offers excellent efficiency when applying paint directly onto an external wooden surface. Cleaning
If you're using solvent-based products with this brush, you should try and remove as much product as possible, then clean it with white spirit.
If you're using water-based products, you can remove as much product as possible and clean it with warm, soapy water.
