Uses

The B2 Trade Expanding Foam by Soudal is a general-purpose expanding foam that provides exceptional bonding and filling to the most common surfaces around a property. It's forged with a unique composite that offers exceptional thermal resistance properties alongside acoustic and insulation value. It's formulated Freon-free, offering an eco-friendly alternative that won't damage the ozone layer or give off greenhouse gasses. This product is commonly used when installing windows and door frames, filling voids in and around a property, and providing acoustic, thermal, and insulation benefits.

Preparation

Before commencing the application, it's suggested that you focus on removing any small debris using a stiff brush. Any organic growth should be removed using a fungicide, and dust, dirt, oil, or grease should be removed.

Application

  1. Shake the aerosol can thoroughly for at least 20 seconds.
  2. Put the adaptor onto the valve.
  3. Slightly moisten the surface you want to fill (enhance curing speeds)
  4. Apply the expanding foam to the void, filling 1/2 and allowing the expanding foam to fill the rest.
  5. If it requires subsequent coatings, allow the first layer to dry, moisten the surface and apply a second load of expanding foam.

Limitations and Notes

  • Any cured expanding foam will need to be removed mechanically.
  • Any uncured expanding foam can be cleaned using a damp cloth.
  • You should moisten the surface to enhance the curing speeds.
  • If you're uncertain about a non-common surface, complete preliminary tests for compatibility.
