Uses
The Genius Gun Trade Pipe and Plumbing Foam by Soudal is a fantastic product with excellent stability, filling capacity and adhesion, ensuring that a robust, long-lasting gap-filler is extruded. It's equipped with a patented Genius Gun attachment, allowing direct application from the aerosol with reusability up to 6 weeks from the initial application. It's perfect for pipes, electrical wiring, general cavities and static and non-static joints.
Preparation
Before commencing the application, ensure that all contaminants present are removed, including dirt, dust, grease, oil, organic growth, loose debris, and flaking material. Before applying the expanding foam into the void, slightly moisten the surface to enhance bonding and curing.
Application
- Shake the can thoroughly for at least 20 seconds and repeat it regularly throughout the application.
- Open the cover and pull the folded tube to sit perpendicular to the aerosol can.
- Fill the cavity up to 1/3, and then allow the expanding foam to fill the rest.
- If you have to work in layers, allow the first to cure fully. Afterwards, use the same method as before, slightly moistening the surface.
- Apply the second load directly into the void and over the first layer, filling 1/3 of the cavity and allowing the expanding foam to fill the rest.
Limitation and Notes
- Ensure that the void you intend to fill has been slightly moistened to enhance curing and adhesion.
- Any cured expanding foam can only be removed mechanically.
- Any uncured expanding foam can be wiped away using a damp cloth.
