Uses

The Soudafoam Gun-Grade Window and Door by Soudal is an excellent product perfect for installing doors and windows. It offers fantastic stability and gap-filling properties, expanding up to 28 litres, all compressed into a convenient 750ml aerosol can. This product's adhesion is unmatched, with fantastic adhesion to all surfaces and only a few plastics being unsuitable for this product. This product is ideal for general use as an expanding foam; it has fantastic thermal and acoustic benefits, and you can use it in various areas.

Preparation

Before commencing the application, ensure the area you intend to fill is free from dust, grease, oil, dirt, loose debris and organic growth. After cleaning the area and ridding it of impurities, slightly moisten all surfaces using a water sprayer, as this enhances the bonding and curing process.

Application

  1. Shake the can thoroughly for at least 20 seconds and fit it onto a suitable PU foam gun.
  2. As you complete the application, shake the can regularly, ensuring its composite is consistently mixed.
  3. Apply the self-expanding polyurethane foam to the gap, filling 65% of the void and allowing the product to fill the rest.
  4. If the void is significantly large and requires several loads, apply the first, allow it to cure fully, moisten the surface, and apply a second layer over the first.

Limitation and Notes

  • This product is not UV-treated, so it must be sealed away from sunlight after application; this can be done using a sealer, sealant, or paint over it.
  • If you do not slightly moisten the surface before applying the foam, it will cause poor performance.
  • Any uncured foam will have to be mechanically removed - all uncured foam can be removed using a damp cloth.
