Its unique formula enables it to be applied in damp and humid areas delivering resistant properties preventing unsightly mould growth.
The S3 Silicone does offer another level of performance when it comes to silicone sealants, it's ideal for application on;
- Glass
- Ceramics
- Anodised aluminium
- Lacquered and primed metals
- Painted timber
- Plaster
- Sanitary plastics
- Primed and painted concrete
Preparation
Prepare the surface before starting the application; complete this by ensuring all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease or similar contaminants that can hinder adhesion.
Application
- Apply using a standard sealant gun
- Cut the top of the cartridge, be careful not to cut the threaded screw
- Screw the nozzle onto the cartridge
- Cut it at a 45° angle, making the hole slightly larger than the gap
For Bath Surrounds: Fill half of the bathtub with water, enabling the sealant to be applied at the midpoint. If significant gaps are present, use a polythene foam, rod or tape to support the sealant and prevent wastage.
For sealing waste outlets in sinks and baths: Apply the S3 Silicone so it is compressed after connecting and tightening the pipes.
For metallised plastic trims: Discolouration may occur; carry out a test before in an inconspicuous area.
