Uses

The Aluminium Solar Reflective Paint by Bond is an excellent solution to combating solar heat, light, and the degradation and heat gain caused by it. This paint is forged using a thin, bituminous-based aluminium coating of brushing consistency that dries into a silvery finish. It's ideal for application onto roof spaces, it can also be applied directly over other bituminious coatings, sealing primers, paints, or similar products.

Preparation

Ensure the surface is structurally sound and free from contaminants that can hinder the adhesion, including dirt, dust, grease, oil, etc. Any organic growth must be removed, which is best achieved using a fungicide. Some weathered surfaces may require a bitumen primer to be applied prior to ensuring optimal bonding.

Application

1. Stir the product very thoroughly before using it.
2. Do not thin the paint; apply immediately and continue stirring it throughout the application.
3. Apply to the surface using a brush or pile roller, taking care not to apply too thin of a coat.
4. Allow a sufficient amount of time to dry before applying a second coat, which can take up to 1 hour.

Limitations and Notes

• When applying the solar reflective paint on a bitumen surface, you must allow;
