This Bond It Silicone Ultra Waterseal delivers impressive results preventing the ingress of rain and moisture into the wall, however, it does enable present water in the stone to evaporate from it, allowing your walls to be drier, warmer and help prevent future damages.
The uses of this product include being a general masonry waterproofer, suitable for application on brick, stone, concrete and unglazed tiles. Not only is water deflected and protected against, but also frost damage so that those cold winter months will have less of a toll on your building.
Application
Prepare all surfaces before application, this includes removing dirt, moss, lichen and any other organic growth that is present. If you find it challenging to remove particular organic growth, consider using Bond Its MOULD-STOP or PATIO-BLASTER as these are effective at eliminating these. If any fresh pointing is present, allow 24 hours for it to dry. All surfaces must be clean and dry before you start the application.
Do not use this product during rainfall, if rainfall is imminent, ensure you protect the are so it can cure properly. Do not apply this product on painted surfaces, however you can paint onto the surface after applying this product using breathable paints.
- Shake well before use.
- Apply using a low-pressure spray that isn't atomizing, or brush at a rate of 3m² per litre for porous stone and 5m² per litre for hard brick. Starting from the top and working your way down, making sure the surface is wetted well
- A second coat is required and should be applied when the masonry is still wet/tacky
