Bostik Fireseal Silicone is an excellent multipurpose sealant that combines impressive flexibility with dogged fire resistance. It can elongate up to 6 and a half times its regular length before risking breaking. It can also withstand fire for up to four hours while still maintaining integrity.
Bostik Fireseal Silicone is made of siloxane polymers, reinforcing fillers and fire retardant chemicals. It will bond with a wide range of materials, including brick and most stone, and even porous materials like cement. A primer may need to be applied before using it on a porous material for a high-movement join. Bostik Fireseal Silicone should be applied with a caulking or sealant gun. Can be used for both joins where movement is required and those where it is not. Particularly suited to movement joins in hot temperatures, such as with stove repairs or pipework.
