Uses
The 408 Super Seal by Everbuild is a fantastic surface protector; with excellent water resistance, it's perfect for application onto most common mineral surfaces. It's crafted by the Everbuild team using a spirit-based, transparent solvent-based water repellent that penetrates into the surface, providing effective repellents for years to come. Surfaces this product is effective on include;
- Brick
- Stone
- Masonry
- Pebbledashing
- Render
Preparation
All surfaces must be sound and cleaned from impurities such as dirt, grease, oil, dust, algae, organic growth, mildew, moss, etc. Any surface damage you want to repair must be done before sealing the surface.
Application
- Shake well before use.
- Apply via low-pressure spray, brush or roller.
- On vertical surfaces, saturate the wall working from the bottom upwards, ensuring the surface is covered.
- On horizontal surfaces, flood the entire area and after 10 minutes, spread it out with a soft brush, roller or mop, ensuring the whole area is covered.
- Two coats are required, and the second should be applied within 1 hour of the first, ensuring the first coat has soaked into the surface but has yet to dry.
- Any tools used must be cleaned immediately using white spirit.
Limitations and Notes
- This product is not suitable for application to damp or wet surfaces (Except if it's the first coat of the product)
- This product should not be applied whilst it's raining or if rain is imminent.
- This product should not be used on non-porous surfaces.
- Do not use this product on wood, plastic or rubber.
- Do not use this product in fishponds.
- Protect surrounding areas from overspray or accidental spillages; if they occur, clean immediately whilst it's still wet.
