Uses

The Black Jack 908 D.P.M. by Everbuild is a high-performance, effective, damp-proof membrane that delivers excellent protection against water on most surfaces. It's formulated for application both internally and externally, suitable for application to floors and walls. Due to its unique composite, you can use it as an adhesive for surfaces including wood blocks, mosaic panels, insulation boards, cork, expanded polystyrene, and as a plaster bonding agent, even on complex surfaces. Applications that this product is commonly used in include;

  • Delivering a sandwich damp-proof membrane for floors
  • As a general waterproofer on concrete, fibre/cement, plaster, render, etc.
  • Waterproofing structures such as abridge abutments, culverts and retaining walls.
  • Fixing wood blocks and wooden mosaic flooring
  • Bonding agent for plastering difficult substrates such as glazed tiles
  • As a curing agent for concrete

Preparation

The surface must be prepared to achieve optimal results. Start by clearing the surface, ensuring it's free from contaminants that can hinder the 908 D.P.M., including dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.

  • Do not apply in areas where subsequent contact with solvents is likely.
  • Stir well before use and allow sufficient drying time between coats.
  • This product may bleed through any paints applied over it. Contact the paint manufacturer to find a suitable primer to act as an undercoat.
  • This product will not provide a replacement for D.P.C.; ideally, they both should be used in conjunction with one another.
