Uses

The EuroScrim Plasterboard Tape by Everbuild is a unique, fibreglass re-enforced plaster tape which has been developed with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. It has been crafted for a quick, easy-to-apply process, offering a flexible bond that won't bubble or blister. Applications, where the EuroScrim Tape is typically applied include jointing for dry walls and repairing/jointing over large cracks in plaster and ceilings.

Preparation

Before starting the application, you must ensure the surface is sound and free from contaminants such as dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc. After cleaning the surface, you must dry it, and then you can start.

Application

  1. Place the tape into position and apply it directly to the joint or crack
  2. Ensure you press firmly to reach optimal adhesion.
  3. When repairing a hole, you should extend the tape at least 25mm from the edge.
  4. Once in place, apply your jointing or plaster compound to ensure the compound penetrates the tape to reach optimal adhesion.

Limitations

  • Ensure surfaces are prepared correctly before applying the tape
  • Never overlap the tape, you must always butt the joint
  • When applying jointing compound or plaster, ensure that it penetrates through the tape
