Uses
The Mammoth Carpet Fix Cloth Tape by Everbuild is a simple-to-use and apply carpet tape. It has been formulated with a hot melt rubber adhesive, and it can achieve optimal adhesion to most common surfaces. This product does give confidence to those who use it due to its high-tack adhesive, which secures the carpet to the floor, preventing it from sliding around.
Preparation
It's important to prepare surfaces before applying the tape; otherwise, you'll compromise the adhesion. Prepare the surface by removing any contaminants that can interfere with the bonding process; this includes dirt, dust, oil, grease and similar impurities.
Application
- Remove the outer packaging from the product
- Peel a small amount of tape, apply it to the surface and unravel the rest if the tape whilst continuing the application
- Peel the film off the other side of the tape and press both surfaces together
Limitations
- This product is not suitable for surfaces that bleed oils or plasticisers
