Uses

The Lead Mate by Everbuild is perfect for lead-based applications, with its exceptional compatibility with lead, general metals, and even cement. It's formulated with excellent flexibility, resistance to high and low temperatures and general weathering, making it perfect for external applications. Everbuild tested it and complied with European Standard EN15651, allowing this product to be suitable for facade interior and exterior and cold climates.

Preparation

You should prepare the surface before application; otherwise, you risk failing to achieve optimal results. Remove all contaminants on the surface that can interfere with the bonding; this includes dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc. Priming is typically not required, but in certain applications, it may be needed; if you are unsure, complete a preliminary test.

Application

  1. Cut the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threading screw.
  2. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, with an opening to the required amount and place it into a standard applicator tool.
  3. Point the tip of the cartridge to the surface and squeeze the trigger, extruding the sealant.
  4. Smooth down the surface within 5 minutes of the application.

Read the Technical Data Sheet for full information about different applications.

Limitation and Notes

  • Do not use this product in conjunction with bitumen, asphalt, neoprene and specific organic elastomers.
  • This product is not suitable for application to surfaces that bleed oils, solvents, or plasticisers.
