Uses

The Exact Gap Foam by Everbuild is a high-quality, precise expanding foam that is formulated to deliver a long-lasting, robust filler. It's crafted specially by Everbuild technicians to prevent wasting expanding foam, which is common amongst conventional expanding foams. This product's lack of expansion compared to others is a unique feature; due to its precise filler, it can bridge gaps without wastage, which otherwise can be difficult to remove and dispose of on some sites. Other applications this product is typically applied in include;

  • Fill voids in roof tiles and draught points throughout a home
  • Filling gaps around pipe entries, window and door frames and electrical chasing before plastering
  • Filling deep joints before applying a sealant or plater
  • Repair and fill gaps and cracks in walls and floorboards
  • Insulating behind soffits, barge boards and cladding to exterior walls.

Preparation

It's vital to prepare the area before commencing the application; otherwise, you risk poor adhesive performance from the expanding foam. Clean all surfaces, removing contaminants, including dirt, dust, grease, oil, etc. Finally, you should slightly moisten the surface; this will aid the curing process of the expanding foam.

Application

  1. Shake the can thoroughly before using it (About 20 times)
  2. Screw the nozzle attached to the top of the product.
  3. ALWAYS APPLY THIS PRODUCT WHILE IT'S UPSIDE DOWN, taking care not to fill the entire cavity as the expanding foam will expand, reaching the rest.
  4. Any excess foam that may occur should be removed whilst still wet using Everbuild's Foam Cleaner; if the foam has cured, you'll have to remove it mechanically.

Limitation and Notes

  • Do not over-pressurise the container
  • This product should always be applied in ambient and surface temperatures above 5°C
  • Any spillages and tools used should be cleaned using the Everbuild Foam Cleaner.
