Uses
The Maximum Torque by Everbuild is a high-quality, long-lasting adhesive that's twice as powerful as most conventional cartridge-packed products. Everbuild's technicians brewed the next generation of hybrid polymers, which they utilised in this product with strength so powerful that some larger applications typically won't require additional support. It's suitable as a nail replacement and can be applied on wet surfaces and during rainfall. Application this product is typically applied in include;
- Bonding brick slips
- High-quality nail replacement
- Fantastic for external and internal perimeter pointing doors and windows
- Jointing cladding panels
- Bonding tough materials like mirrors, plastics, metal and fibreglass
Preparation
It's essential to achieve optimal results that you prepare the surface properly. To clean the surface and prepare it, remove all contaminants that can hinder the adhesion; this includes dirt, oil, dust, grease, etc.
Application
It's important to note that this product has a pre-cut nozzle compared to other cartridges; do not cut it further as it's specially designed for the product.
- Cut the nozzle at the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threaded screw
- Screw the nozzle onto the cartridge and place it into a standard sealant applicator/gun.
- Extrude the adhesive onto the surface at a 90° angle of the substrate in lines spaced at 30-40mm centres.
- Immediately bring the surfaces together, applying a secure firm pressure and including a slight twist action.
- On average, this product's curing rate is 2mm in depth per 24 hours; it can be slower on non-porous surfaces.
Limitations
- Overhead applications must have additional mechanical fixing for extra support.
- Large mirrors (>1m² total area) must also have mechanical fixing for additional support.
- Although temporary support isn't typically required, extremely heavy items must have added support until the adhesive is cured.
- Do not seal mirror edges/plastic sheeting until the adhesive has fully cured.
- Do not apply to surfaces that bleed oils or plasticisers.
- When bonding glass blocks, check suitability with glass manufacturers.
- This product is suitable for paints to be applied on it, but preliminary tests are suggested as some paints aren't acceptable.
- Do not apply this product onto polythene safety-backed mirrors, polypropylene or Teflon
- Due to the quality of stones varying, it's important to test compatibility to avoid staining.
