Uses
The Shed & Fence Mate by Everbuild is the go-to product for all sawn timber, offering various colours to choose from, and a lifespan is six times longer than creosote. Alongside its excellent hue, it's protected with durable, long-lasting protection that defends against rainfall, weathering, and UV light. Preparation
Before commencing the application, you should prepare the surface to ensure optimal performance is achieved. Start by cleaning and removing all contaminants present, grease, dust, loose material, moss, algae, etc. Use a fungicide wash to remove any organic growth in conjunction with a wire brush, ensuring it's all thoroughly removed.
Application
- Before using the product, stir it thoroughly, ensuring all the pigment is mixed
- Brush uniformly onto the surface, providing an even coverage is achieved
- Depending on the ambient temperature, the first coat will take between 2 and 6 hours to apply.
- You may find one coat suitable, but you can apply two or three to achieve a vibrant colour.
Limitations and Notes
- Do not apply this product below 5°C
- Only apply this product on sawn timber, not planed timber.
- You may apply this over existing creosote or other protective wood coatings, assuming they are weathered and won't repel water.
- If rain is imminent or due whilst the paint dries (6 hours max), do not apply this product.
