The Glue Contact Adhesive by Gorilla is a high-quality adhesive with high-performance bonding strength that outmatches rival contact adhesives. This is due to its ability to provide high-strength bonds whilst still having an open time for repositioning. Compared to conventional contact adhesives, once the surface connects, the adhesive almost locks in, whilst the Gorilla allows time for repositioning.
This glue has exceptional resistance to the elements, resisting water and weathering, making it perfect for exterior applications. Alongside that, you can paint directly over the glue itself, allowing interior home renovation applications.
Preparation
To achieve optimal adhesive results, prepare the surface by cleaning it and removing any contaminants that can hinder the bonding, such as dirt, dust, grease, oil, flaking material, loose debris, etc. After you've cleaned the surface, you should ensure it's dry for the glue.
Application
- Apply the adhesive to each surface you want to bond.
- For ultimate bonding strength, allow the adhesive to partly dry for 2 minutes before connecting the surfaces.
- For repositioning, allow the glue to dry partially for about a minute and then connect the surfaces. This will allow between 2 - 4 minutes of repositioning before the adhesive locks in. The time of repositioning can differ depending on the substrate.
