The Armourglass Plus Roofing Felt Shingles by IKO are fantastic for installation on non-habitable structures. IKO's technicians forged each item using glass fibre-based adhesive strips that are crafted to be entirely waterproof and protect your structure from unwanted leaking. IKO carefully ensure that each shingle adheres to all relevant regulations, achieving BROOF (t1) fire rating and more. Each shingle is non-rotting, and they've been treated to be UV resistant, retaining their decorative mineral surface.
Preparation
When preparing, it's important to note what shingles you have and their batch number. Different batches of shingles can have slight colour variations, which, once installed together, can look unpleasing to some. The surface on which it's being installed must be sound, secured and braced. If you're applying it to an existing surface, ensure there are no sharp protrusions, nails, or objects that can damage the shingles.
Application
- When installing the shingles, you should install an IKO Glass Fibre Underlay first.
- After installing the underlay, the shingles should be mechanically installed on the roof.
- Each shingle side by side should overlap by at least 8 cm
- Each shingle in front of the other should have an overlap of 15 cm
