Uses
The OX Tools OXIT Sealant & Adhesive is a new, innovative range offering the ultimate versatility. With excellent adhesive strength accompanied by outstanding joint sealant finishing. It is crafted for heavy-duty automotive and transportation industries. It is also excellent for domestic use. Ideal for use in and around a property, this product is heavily resistant to chemicals, UV light and water.
Preparation
Before starting the application, clean the surface thoroughly to eliminate all contaminants that could hinder adhesion. Common impurities that affect performance include dirt, dust, grease, oil, flaking material, and loose debris.
Application
- Cut the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threaded screw.
- Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle with an opening to your desired amount and screw it onto the cartridge.
- Place the cartridge into a suitable applicator tool.
- For sealant jointing, point the tip of the nozzle to the gap and apply a singular bead along the gap, smoothing it down afterwards using a sealant applicator tool.
