Protect P1 Grey Roof Coating 5kg
Protect P1 Grey Roof Coating is a high-build, solvent-based acrylic coating designed for general roof maintenance and repairs. Reinforcing fibres interlace within the coating to help bridge small gaps and cracks and form a protective waterproof barrier. The coating is water resistant immediately after application.
Protect P1 can be used on flat and pitched roofs, weathered asphalt and bituminous surfaces, gutters, concrete, brickwork, fibreglass, felt, and galvanised or ferrous metal. Check that the product is suitable for the condition and construction of your particular roof before application.

Coverage and drying time
Apply Protect P1 Grey Roof Coating at approximately 1–2kg per m², depending on the condition and porosity of the surface. A 5kg tin therefore covers approximately 2.5–5m² at the stated application rate. This is an estimate; rough or porous surfaces may require more product.
The coating is touch dry in 3–4 hours and reaches full cure in 6–7 days. Apply when the temperature is between 5°C and 25°C.
How to apply Protect P1 Grey Roof Coating
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from loose debris, moss, lichen, dirt, grease and standing water. The label states that most roofing substrates do not require a primer.
- Stir thoroughly before and during use until the coating has an even consistency.
- Apply generously with a brush, roller or squeegee at the recommended coverage rate. Work evenly to form a continuous coating.
Safety: This solvent-based product is flammable. Keep it away from ignition sources, ensure good ventilation and wear suitable protective gloves, eyewear and clothing. Do not use near fishponds or allow the product to enter drains. Read the full product label before use.
