Uses

Ronseal 3 in 1 Basecoat is perfect for those looking to apply a solid basecoat before decorating.

This product is formulated with a thick pigment, allowing you to submerge unsightly marks and hairline cracks. This is perfect for drastically transforming colours on walls. The 3 in 1 Basecoat offers 10m² per litre coverage, offering efficiency with just one tin 2.5L covering up to 25m².

Preparation

Prepare the surface by cleaning any contaminants on it, like dirt, grease, etc. The best way to achieve this is by using sugar soap, perfect for cleaning a wall down and optimising it for paints. If there is any loose paint or plaster, you should prepare this by using sandpaper, leaving a smooth finish.

Application

1. Stir the in thoroughly when opening it, as this ensures all the pigments are mixed correctly
2. Using a brush or roller, apply the paint directly to the wall, keeping an even coverage
3. The colour will be touch dry within 2 hours and suitable for being painted over in 4
4. If you are transforming drastic colours on the walls, apply more than 1 coat.

Aftercare

Remove as much paint as possible from your tools before cleaning them down, and when cleaning them, use warm, soapy water. Your local authority may have a procedure to dispose of it safely.
