Uses
The Anti-Condensation Paint by Ronseal is a high-quality, uniquely formulated paint that completely controls condensation, mould, and general damp issues. This paint, when applied, delivers an added layer of insulation, protecting the paint and your wall from unsightly damage. This type of paint is suitable for scrubbing down when cleaning, making it perfect for bathrooms and kitchens.
Preparation
Before commencing the application, you should prepare the surface. Clean it down to remove any contaminants, and if the surface has mould present, use a dedicated mould killer to remove it. You should not sand it away; all this does is spread the pores, which causes it to spread.
Application
- When opening the tin, thoroughly stir it to mix all the pigments.
- Apply the paint directly to the wall using a brush or roller, ensuring you don't spread it too thinly.
- Allow 4 hours for the first coat to dry, then apply a second. The surface will be touch dry in 2 hours but suitable for painting over in 4 hours.
Aftercare
This paint can be used as a top coat or undercoat; if an undercoat is your intention, you should wait 4 hours for it to dry before applying it. Any leftover paint on tools should be removed and cleaned using warm, soapy water.
