Uses
The Expanding Foam Filler by Ronseal offers excellent filling properties for any size hole; applied directly from the can, you can confidently fill any void. Its unique formula delivers excellent properties, preventing any chance of it shrinking or cracking over time. The surfaces that you can apply this to include the following;
- Wood
- Metal
- Glass
- Masonry
Preparation
If you're applying this inside, you should open doors and windows to ventilate the area. Ensure the application area is cleaned, removing any loose material, dirt, grime and similar impurities. You should also cover any furniture, carpet and general objects you don't want to accidentally spill the Foam Filler onto.
Application
- Shake the can thoroughly for at least 30 seconds.
- Using care, screw the nozzle onto the valve.
- Moisten the application surface with water.
- Holding the can upside down, start to fill the area from the lowest point, working upwards to about halfway, and you should regularly shake the can whilst applying.
- Filling the area like this allows the expanding foam to do its job, as it'll double its size.
- After it's dried, you can plaster, sand, cut or paint the expanding foam.
Aftercare
Any expanding foam that is exposed to direct sunlight should be coated or painted over to protect it. You can clean up any spilt foam filler using nail polish remover.
