Uses

The Tecnic Fire Sealant 300 by Everbuild, is an outstanding product capable of sealing and securing gaps and surfaces whilst reducing noise by around 29dB and reducing the passage of fire significantly. Ideal for perimeter pointing of areas where fire-resistant properties are required, such as fire-rated doors and window frames. You can also use this for firewalls, partitions, and other structures requiring fire-resistant properties.

Preparation

Before starting the application, remove any dust, oil, dirt, grease and similar impurities that can hinder the adhesion of this product. This includes removing old sealant or mastic that is present, and only some surfaces will require priming; if you are unsure, test in a small area before completing the entire project.

Application

  1. Cut the top of the cartridge without damaging the threaded screw.
  2. Screw the nozzle onto the cartridge and cut it at a 45° angle with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be filled.
  3. Using a standard sealant gun, apply a firm, equal pressure to the gun to deliver an even bead that securely binds the surfaces together.
