Uses
The Kitchen & Bathroom Repair Kit by Ronseal is the ultimate quick repairing product that allows you to restore your sacred ceramics, enamel, acrylic, fibreglass and porcelain surfaces. Despite heavy water usage in these areas, this waterproof repair product offers long-lasting, durable repairs to prevent further chips. Another concern with the condition of these rooms is the humidity, but this product repels mould and prevents it from seeping into your surfaces.
Preparation
Prepare the damaged area by sanding it down and then cleaning it, removing any contaminants hindering the product. After it's cleaned, let it dry thoroughly.
Application
- Squeeze as much filler as required, then mix it with a small amount of hardener until thoroughly blended.
- Pack the filler into the chip using the applicator, leaving it raised slightly above the surface.
- Let it dry for 30 minutes, and once it's dried, you need to sand it down to a flush finish. On porcelain and enamel, use brown sandpaper. For ceramic and fibreglass, you should use black sandpaper with a little bit of water.
- Wipe away any excess dust, then shake the Touch-Up Enamel bottle for about two minutes.
- Apply one thin coat onto the area and dry it for around 2 hours.
- After it's dried, apply another coat; you can apply a third, but wait another 2 hours.
- It will be touch dry within an hour, but leave it for 24 hours to fully dry before getting it wet. To survive fully submerged in water, you must wait four days for it to dry.
Aftercare
After totally drying, you can clean it the same way you have before.
