Uses
The One Coat Tile Paint by Ronseal offers high-quality colour and protection to your tiles, delivering a product that can revive old-dated tiles into modern, refreshing ones. All of this is achieved with just one coat, proving how exceptional this product is.
Preparation
Before commencing the application, ensure the room is above 10°C and lay dust sheets over the surface and objects you don't want the paint to spill onto. Use a grout cleaner and perform remedial work for any grout that needs cleaning. After you've done both, you should wipe down the tiles, cleaning them and removing any contaminants that can hinder the paint's adhesion.
Application
- Thoroughly stir the paint, ensuring you mix all the pigments.
- Apply the paint directly to the tile with vertical strokes using a synthetic brush.
- The paint will be touch dry in around an hour, but don't allow water to touch it for 24 hours.
- This product may not cover bold colours in the first coat, and if so, lightly sand the tile using 240-grit paper and paint another coat over it. You should wait 4 hours for the first coat to dry before applying the second.
Aftercare
Remove as much paint from your brush or roller as possible, then wash it using warm, soapy water. Do not empty any leftover paint into drains or water courses. You should also protect this product from frost.
When cleaning the tiles, avoid using abrasive cleaners as they can damage the paint; instead, wash it with soapy water. Avoid water or high humidity coming into contact with the paint while drying.
