Uses
Stay White Non-Drip One Coat Paint by Ronseal has exceptional qualities when applied to wood. Its formula allows it to be naturally non-drip, preventing unwanted spillages. Overall, the paint is tough and durable, resistant to knocks, bumps and scrapes, offering a product that delivers 10 years of colour and protection.
Preparation
Before you start the project, it is essential to prepare it first. You should observe the wood, and if you still need to sand it down, you should proceed to do this with 120-grit sandpaper. Lightly sand the surface, working the wood, especially in rougher areas and bringing it to a nice, even finish. After sanding, let the dust settle and wipe it away with a white spirit and a cloth. You might find knots in your wood, which can ruin paint jobs as they typically darken and show through the paint, but you can use a knot blocker to prevent this. After you've prepared the wood, prime it using a wood primer, aiding the White One Coat Paint to achieve an optimal finish.
Application
- This paint doesn't require any stirring. However, a little never hurts
- After you've stirred it, use a synthetic brush and dip it into the paint
- Apply a generous coat to the wood, brushing in the direction of the grain
- After two hours, the paint will be touch-dry
Aftercare
After the project is finished, maintenance is vital to ensure your hard work continues to shine all year round. You can clean the wood normally without worrying about damaging the paint. Any damages that may occur can be repaired by lightly sanding down the area affected and then repainting it with just one coat.
