Uses
The 112 Mortar & Brick Cleaner by Sikagard offers excellent assistance in removing and restoring mortar, bricks and similar substrates. It is formulated with water and hydrochloric acid, offering a solvent-free alternative to traditional brick-and-mortar cleaners.
Preparation
Prepare the area by pre-wetting it with clean water before application. If you want to immerse products into the solution to clean them, use an acid-proof container diluting the solution 1 part 112 Mortar & Brick cleaner to 1 part fresh water.
Application
Immersion:
As mentioned above in the preparation, properly dilute 1 part 112 Mortar & Brick cleaner to 1 part freshwater, submersing the object into a bucket of the solution until the concrete is removed, then rinse with clean water.
Brush:
Do not work on more than 1m² at a time when applying via brush. Leave the solution on the concrete until it's removed the contaminants and wash it down with fresh water to neutralise it.
Limitations
- Due to the aggressiveness of this product, it can attack the colour in paving and blocks, so ensure you carry out a preliminary test prior to completing the entire project.
- Take care in using internally with artificial stone.
- Always wash the surface down after treating it.
- Prevent contact with plants and animals when using this product.
- Surfaces that are sensitive should have a more diluted solution. Use the mixture 1:2 (cleaner to water)
