Preparation
Prepare the surface before starting the application to ensure optimal adhesion. Removing contaminants such as dirt, dust, oil, and grease provides it's clean and dry. Any porous surface should be primed to allow the adhesion to achieve full results.
Application
- Cut the cartridge's top, ensuring you don't damage the threaded screw.
- Screw the nozzle onto the cartridge, cutting it at a 45° angle with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be filled.
- Apply using a standard sealant gun directly to the application area, using a firm continuous pressure on the gun to extrude it efficiently.
- Tool down afterwards with a soapy solution. Ensuring that the soap doesn't touch either surface as this can interfere with the adhesion.
Limitations
- This product is not suitable for natural stone, like marble or granite.
- Direct contact with the secondary sealing of insulating glass units and PVB-film of safety glass must be avoided.
- The first joint sealant must be fully cured before applying the second when using different reactive joint sealants.
