Uses

The Trade Roof & Insulation Foam Genius is a convenient and superb product that provides outstanding polyurethane expanding foam delivered in a reusable container. The Genius Gun cap allows multiple uses out of the same can without concerns of clogging, allowing endless use. The product's formula is unrivalled, providing excellent value and thermal and acoustic insulation that's entirely freon-free. It's elastic, compressible, fast curing and suitable for use onto most common surfaces except PE, PP and PTFE.

Preparation

Due to the nature of this product, its expanding properties and excellent adhesion allow it to fill voids effectively. However, brushing the area is a good practice, as it removes any organic growth, small debris, dust, or grease.

Application

  1. Shake the can thoroughly for at least 20 seconds
  2. Open the cover and fold the tube perpendicular to the can
  3. Slightly moisten the surfaces with a water spray
  4. Fill the 1/3 of the void, allowing the expanding foam to fill the rest
  5. Ensure as you continue applying, you continue to shake the can in intervals
  6. If you're applying in layers, allow the one prior to cure, slightly moisten the surface and apply another layer on top

Limitations and Notes

  • Any cured expanding foam must be removed mechanically.
  • Uncured expanding foam can be wiped away with a wet cloth.
  • Slightly moistened surfaces enhance curing, adhesive, and yield.
