This Lead Pro Roofing & Flashing by Bond It is perfect for helping seal and secure your roof from various weather conditions. You can use this product on multiple surfaces, including; lead, concrete, brickwork, aluminium, copper, uPVC, steel, timber, industrial roofing panels, slate, tiles, acrylic, glass, GRP and bitumen (after priming). Also suitable for internal use for sub-roof ducting and for sealing roof lights, mechanical faster and cladding, as well as with solar energy systems.
Application
Prepare all surfaces before application, ensuring they are free from contaminants like dust, grease and make sure it's clean and dry. You can apply this to slightly damp surfaces which are not saturated.
- Apply using a standard sealant gun.
- When sealing deep joints, use foam and backing rods to minimise silicone wastage.
- Cut the top of the nozzle without damaging the screw thread
- Screw on the nozzle and cut at a 45° angle, ensuring the hole is slightly larger than the hole to be filled.
If the intended application area is bitumen or stone, prime the surface before otherwise, it will hinder adhesion.
