Protect P1 Black Roof Coating 20kg (4 × 5kg)
This 20kg pack contains four separate 5kg tins of Protect P1 Black Roof Coating. Designed for general roof maintenance and repairs, the high-build, solvent-based acrylic formula contains reinforcing fibres that interlace to help bridge small gaps and cracks. Apply it evenly to form a continuous waterproof barrier. The coating is water resistant immediately after application.
Where can it be used?
The product label lists flat and pitched roofs, weathered asphalt, bituminous surfaces, gutters, concrete, brickwork, fibreglass, felt, and galvanised or ferrous metal. Check that the coating is suitable for the condition and construction of the particular surface before use.

How much will the 20kg pack cover?
Apply Protect P1 Black Roof Coating at approximately 1–2kg per m², depending on the condition and porosity of the substrate. At that rate, 20kg covers approximately 10–20m². This is an estimate: rough or porous surfaces may require more product.
How to apply
- Prepare the surface: Ensure it is clean, dry and free from loose debris, moss, lichen, dirt, grease and standing water. According to the label, most roofing substrates do not require a primer.
- Stir thoroughly: Stir before and during use until the coating has an even consistency.
- Apply evenly: Use a brush, roller or squeegee at the recommended application rate, working generously to achieve a continuous coating.
Apply at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C. The coating is touch dry in 3–4 hours and reaches full cure in 6–7 days.
Safety information: Protect P1 is flammable. Keep it away from ignition sources, ensure good ventilation and wear suitable protective gloves, eyewear and clothing. Do not use near fishponds or allow the coating to enter drains. Read the full product label before use.
