The soffit refers to the join between the fascia and the wall, beneath the eaves of the roof. Like many other parts of the inside of your roof it needs to be looked after properly. If this area is not properly ventilated then the inside of the fascia can be affected by condensation and subsequently rot. However, it’s still simple to install them even on existing roofs. The grill keeps out birds, squirrels and insects while abetting airflow. These should be spaced at 160mm apart around the soffit.
