35mm Polycarbonate Sheets
With seven separate layers and six chambers the 35mm Polycarbonate sheet is an impressive bit of roofing material. It retains the excellent durability-to-weight ratio of its smaller cousins while maximising insulation and UV resistance. Its weight does make it unsuitable for smaller garden installations. However, this weight also means it can be used for very large external panels without risk of being torn apart by the wind.
35mm is best used on the very largest and most impressive conservatories, orangeries and greenhouses. Not only will the size be more feasible there but they will benefit the most from its strong insulative properties in a way that will really make a difference to the plants and atmosphere inside. Smaller conservatories, orangeries and greenhouses should use 25mm or smaller.
Since they don’t crack from being cut and are resistant to heat, polycarbonate sheeting can be cut to measure with a home saw. Circular saws are best for lengths like 35mm too. For best results safety goggles should be worn and glue clamps should be used to secure the sheets in place. Always remember to take proper safety precautions with saws.
