Description
Cromapol is a fibre reinforced liquid acrylic resin disbanded in a solvent designed to restrict the ingress of water.
Due to the condensed fibres in Cromapol, the coating will bridge small gaps and require only a one-coat application to give instant waterproofing to your roof. Cromapol is available in Grey, White, Black and Clear and comes in various sizes, including 5kg.
This waterproof coating has many advantages, including excellent adhesion, instant protection, no wash-off, excellent solar reflectivity, reinforced membrane, one coat application, seamless, fully flexible, and economical for those looking to save money on DIY.
Moreover, Cromapol has the protection of flat and pitched roofs, roof lights, flashing, fibre-cement sheeting, gutters, slate, asphalt, lead, metal and roofing felt, which is primed.
How to apply Cromapol?
You should use a brush to apply Cromapol. Make sure to use a clean brush and discard it after, as it cannot be cleaned due to its nature.
Clean all debris to ensure a dust-free surface. All moss and lichen must be removed, ensuring all corners and gutters are clean and free of plant growth. Assure the area to be repaired is free of standing water. Make good all cracks, splits, small holes and flashings before application. Gaps or expansion joints more remarkable than 3mm must be covered using Glass‐Fibre scrim and Cromapol. This must be carried out prior to full coating. Cromapol will tolerate damp surfaces, although as with any application for best results, Cromar recommends applying to a dry surface. Note: These application instructions are for guidance only and do not constitute any warranty for product performance.
How much coverage does 5kg of Cromapol cover?
On average, Cromapol has a coverage of 1 – 2 kg per m². If you need more Cromapol, we recommend buying multiple tins to be safe or upgrading to 20kg tin. If you’re working on a larger project, you can buy a pallet of Cromapol directly from ERoofing.
